We’d been looking forward to the Kim & Sam’s special day ever since we did their engagement session last year – it was one of THE hottest days of the year and the day ended with them running off of a local golf course just as the sprinklers came on.  And after Kim’s bridal portrait session, we really wanted to see the look on Sam’s face when he saw her for the first time – she was BEAUTIFUL!   Their celebration started at Capt Dave’s Dockside in Murrells Inlet during their rehearsal dinner and THEN, their special day finally arrived.  Kim’s hair and make-up were done by her local hairstylist Kerstin Majer of Birch Broom in the Fits before going to the Litchfield Country Club where she got dressed with the help of her six bridesmaids.  Her gown from Bridals By Jodi and her finger tip veil were prefect for her.  She looked beautiful walking down the aisle, one hand holding her bouquet of sunflowers from Kings Florist and the other holding onto her Dad’s arm.  As she walked, everyone got a glimpse of her yellow shoes.  The look on Sam’s face was worth a thousand words and when she reached the end of the aisle she looked radiant standing next to him in his tan suit.  They said, their vows, exchanged rings, poured sand for the sand ceremony and were pronounced husband and wife by Rev. Bob Teems.  Their guests signed sheets of material that Kim’s Grandmother will sew together and use to make a quilt.  Their cake, by Jan, was really pretty and Kevin Graham did a really good job DJing.  At the end of the evening each of their guests grabbed a sparkler and formed two lines that Kim & Sam walked through before climbing into a 1962 Rolls Royce and riding away.  We are thankful to have been a part of Kim & Sam’s special day – THANK YOU for choosing Wayne’s View Photography – we were honored.

Mama Link just stopped by our studio to see our lay flat 8″ X 8″ coffee table book with all the beautiful beaches backgrounds on each page.  It’s a very popular book with families that we photograph and I just love showing it off.   Stop on by and see it!  We’re located at 12060 Hwy 17 Bypass, Unit C., Murrells Inlet.

They say it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day.  Wonder what they say about ultra high winds on your wedding day?  Lynndsay & Brian had hoped to have a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at Kingston Plantation.  Instead, thanks to some rain and really high winds, they had a beautiful ceremony inside Brighton Towers.   The main thing is – THEY’RE MARRIED!  While Lynndsay was getting her hair done by Crystal Cross from Identity Hair & Tanning and her make-up by Laura Griego from Dillard’s (Chanel) in the Coastal Grand Mall, her Mom her Mom’s friend were busy making bouquets.  Prior to the ceremony they each wrote a letter to the other and during the ceremony they placed their letters in a box that they’ll open on their 10 year anniversary.  Their ceremony was preformed by Shan Coughlin – what  a sweet lady – she did an excellent job!   The DJ, Joe Durivage, also did an wonderful job and the cake from Cakes By the Sea was awesome, as always!    Lynndsay wore a dress from David’s Bridal.  I’ve never seen one like it before – after the ceremony she unzipped the bottom half and stepped right out of it – how cool!   When the reception ended, Brian, Lynndsay and some of their guests went out to the beach for a trash the dress session – how FUN!  Brian is active duty Air Force and Wayne’s View Photography was honored to photograph their special day.

What a fun couple!  Brittni and James came all the way from Missouri to get married on the beach in South Carolina.   Their ceremony was performed at the Sea Watch Resort by “JUDGE BUFFY”.  Brittni’s brother played and prerecorded “Here There and Everywhere”, especially for her special day.  After the song was played, the couple poured pink and blue sand  from individual containers.  These individual containers no longer exist but are now joined together as one.  And just as the grains can never be separated and poured again into individual containers, so shall their marriage be.  DJ MARINO announced the newlyweds into the reception held in their honor and as their guests watched, Brittni & James danced to Whatever “It” Is.  Their beautiful cake was from CROISSANTS and the bride’s bouquet was from BLOSSOMS.  As usual, the SEA WATCH RESORT did an outstanding job!  We wish Brittni and James many, many wonderful years together.

We had a great time photographing the Pilot family during their vacation to Pawleys Island.  Julia is originally from the island but as many of us do – she met a man and moved away.  They currently live in Florida but return each year to visit family and friends.  We’re thrilled that we got to spend a little time getting to know them and photographing their family.  We look forward to seeing them again, year after year.

Wayne’s View Photography LOVES weddings.  Each one is as unique and special as the couple themselves.  Kelly and Donnie’s was the same as most in the sense that there was a girl, a guy, a dress, flowers, rings and vows that were exchanged.   We knew the bride’s family before she ever got engaged so it was like photographing our family – they certainly went out of their way to make us feel like we were part of the celebration.  THANK YOU!  It was different in the sense that they had a very unexpected guest appear during their 4:00pm ceremony at the Long Bay Resort.  A snake!  That’s right, he appeared on the ground next to the couple and the minister while they were exchanging their vows – right there on the lawn as though he was listening to what they were saying.   Wayne played snake chaser and sent him away.  They had a beautiful sand ceremony and fall colors of orange, green and brown.   After formal photos, the newlyweds entered their reception dancing to techno sandstorm after being introduced by the DJ – Dave Overby from SUPERFROG.   After eating a delicious meal the couple returned to the beach for a few more private photos at sunset.  As the evening was coming to an end, the couple made a HUGE announcement to their guests!!!   THANK YOU Kelly and Donnie – we’re honored that you asked us to photograph your special day.  We wish you a “Happily Ever After”.

Almost two years ago we photographed Donata’s sister’s wedding and were thrilled when Donata called us and wanted us to photograph her special day too.  Actually, she wanted us to do her and Trey’s engagement portraits, their wedding day portraits and their day after “trash the dress” session – what a compliment!  She loves photos and he loves photos of the marsh so they each got what they wanted for the session – photos of them with the marsh in the background.  We had a really good time and can’t wait until their wedding in January.  Here are a few of their photos.

We’ve had the good fortunate of staying REALLY busy this year.  THANK YOU to everyone that we’ve photographed!  In between engagement sessions, bridals, weddings, day after sessions, families, babies, and SENIORs we’ve been doing some commercial work as well.  Last, but certainly not least is one of my favorites – photographing the dancers at Litchfield Dance Arts Academy – I love watching those girls AND GUYS.   We’ve still got many sessions left to do this year and we’re still processing quite a few as well but thought we’d give you a sneak peek at one of Hannah’s photos.  She’s a SENIOR at St. James High School and we had a blast with her.

We were at a Professional Photographers of South Carolina convention in Columbia the first time we met Kelly.  She was very soft spoken and I remember Wayne saying what a beautiful bride she was gonna be.  We’re very thankful that she chose us to photograph their wedding which took place at the Island Vista resort in Myrtle Beach.  Their ceremony was beautiful – it was on the outside lawn, on a sunny day and was officiated by Diane Buffkin Creel (Judge Buffy).   Their reception was also outside, next to the pool near  the tikki bar. Kevin Shields plays live at the pool deck and played for the reception as well but stopped briefly to share the stage with Lance’s 7 year old daughter as she sang a song to the newlyweds.   The reception ended with the Groom and the flower girl jumping into the pool.  The couple and their daughter returned a few days later for a Wayne’s View “day after session” – what a blast!  Kelly’s beautiful bouquet was from Cactus Sands, her cake was from Priceless Desserts and her beautiful dress was from first Impressions in Lexington.  Thank you so much Kelly & Lance for letting us share in your special day.   We’ve really enjoyed getting to know all of you through your engagement session, wedding and  Wayne’s View “day after” session. We wish you many, many, happy years together.  Click on an image to make it larger.

We talk about our little Cooper as though he’s a real person.  He’s pretty sure that he is!  I tell him all the time that he’s like Pinocchio and one day he’s gonna turn into a REAL LIVE little boy.  As you can see from the photo, he already gets treated like he is.  What many people don’t know is that he’s famous – well not really but he has been in a magazine before, PLUS anytime we’re gonna do studio portraits he acts like a  model.  That’s right, he’s sits and poses for Wayne while we get everything lighting wise just perfect for the first shot.  He’s certain that he’s a team player and requires a snack as payment.  He’s the perfect little guy for us.  If you love your pet, send us an email and tell us all about them.  We’d love to hear from you.

Twice we attempted to take bridal portraits of Michelle and the weather just wouldn’t cooperate.   She finally decided to do trash the dress photos or what we at Wayne’s View Photography call “The Day After” photos instead.   I couldn’t believe it when we had to cancel the first attempt of that as well – you guessed it – the weather did not cooperate.  We rescheduled the session for the following week and couldn’t believe it when it started to rain again that day.  FINALLY, the weather cleared up.  We went to Huntington Beach State Park and had a wonderful time  doing their Day After session.   By the way, it started to rain again just as we were walking to our cars.   Thank you so much Kevin and Michelle for being so patient.   I’m so glad we met you both and are now friends.

Yesterday I noticed on facebook that one of my sister’s friends was commenting about stores already having out Christmas decorations right next to the Halloween “stuff”.  I used to be one of the people that couldn’t believe they put those decorations out so early myself but once I got into  marketing as a career it all made perfect sense.  Anyway, I think my sister’s friend’s BIG issue was that hopefully we don’t forget Thanksgiving – BELIEVE ME – I personally won’t forget about Thanksgiving.  Like so many of you, we’ve had some seriously big obstacles to deal with but we’re still thankful for our many blessings.   Having said all that, so many of our clients have ask us about this year’s Christmas cards – they want to get a head start.  I do the same thing.  FINALLY – the CHRISTMAS season is in sight and CHRISTMAS CARDS ARE NOW AVAILABLE.   Our cards this year will be 2-sided, flat cards.  Some of them have a photo on each side and some of them have 4 photos on the front side like the one pictured below.  You choose which photos you’d like on the cards as well as what you’d like it to say.  Our logo will not be on the cards.   If you didn’t receive our email already and are interested in placing your order let us know and we’ll send you our prices.   They are on SALE thru 5:00pm on Friday, October 22nd.  If you haven’t scheduled your family photo session yet, please don’t wait.  Our schedule is getting pretty full.  To see more of our Christmas cards click here.

Another BEAUTIFUL Wayne’s View Photography wedding!  Melissa & Clayton are from Pineville, NC, and wanted a beach wedding.  They chose to “tie the knot” in Litchfield and their ceremony took place just outside the Litchfield Inn.  Their three children, a little girl and two little boys, took part in the ceremony and her brother sang.  She was a beautiful bride and with the exception of the ants that were eating her feet like crazy everything was perfect!   Thank you Melissa & Clayton for letting us be a part of your special day.

Have you ever met someone and immediately knew you’d be friends for life?   Four years ago we received a call from Mary about photographing her new baby Alex.  As soon as we met them – we just loved them!   Since then, we’ve seen them many times and even met their extended families – they’re like family to us.    They call us when they need updated photos, have a new addition to the family, Grandma comes to town, one of the kids has a birthday or they know someone looking for photos.   We call them when we want to borrow their family for a new idea, need to borrow a baby gadget or just need to talk.   They’ve invited us into their home for Christmas dinner, met us at local restaurants and even let us join them in holiday festivities.  We say it over and over because it’s true – one of our favorite things about photography is getting to meet new people.   Another one of our favorites is seeing friends over and over.   One is silver and the other is gold – both enrich our lives.   Thank you to all of our customers and friends – we love you all.

We recently had the opportunity to photograph the dancers at Litchfield Dance Arts Academy.  What a treat!  We really had a great time!  They all looked so good in their costumes and it was amazing to us to see what these girls and BOY can do.  It’s also amazing to me that even the little “itty bitties” can do some of this and even more amazing that the teachers can see the potential in each and everyone of them.  One of the most important things that I learned is that it’s more than just dancing.  It’s about posture, it’s about manners, it’s about teamwork, it’s learning to be a young lady or man.  Take a look at the photos HERE and see for yourself how graceful and beautiful they truly are.

Recently, we got to take some senior portraits at ”The Reserve” in Litchfield – what a treat!  It’s beautiful!  Everything is landscaped so perfectly.  The pool area is beautiful and it just screams for you to come jump in.  Then, there’s the marina – it’s just so perfect.  Of course, there’s history too.   Right next to the marina is a quaint little cementary with a brick wall around it and big trees with moss hanging from them.  Lili was “our girl” for approximately 3-4 hours.  She’s smart, beautiful and a lot of fun to be around.  Her boyfriend and her Mom came along with us and that made it even more fun.  There were so MANY photo opportunities!  Before going to The Reserve we took a few studio portraits and after The Reserve we headed to the beach.  It was getting dark by the time we finished and I’m pretty sure the water you see her walking in was really cold but she was great!  THANKS LILI.  To see more of Lili’s senior portrait session click here

Leigh Anne & Randy were married at the Litchfield Plantation’s Carriage House Club.  If you’ve never been call Ruth Leury and see it for yourself.  While you’re there, reserve it for your own special occassion and tell them that Wayne’s View Photography sent you.  The day was perfect, sunny with a slight breeze and amazing flowers blooming everywhere.  Their harpist, Rebecca Nissen played beautifully.  They could not have picked a more beautiful place to get married.  Randy looked spectacular, all cleaned up in his suit and Leigh Anne was truly beautiful.   These two were MADE for each.  One thing that I especially took notice of was how their families got along so well with each other.   Randy’s grown children are delightful and Leigh Anne had the opportunity to find out just how much of a gentleman Randy’s son really is.   I can’t even start to describe Leigh Anne’s family – what a HOOT!   We love them all!  Both sides of their families were great to us – THANK YOU!   They had two cakes  made by Bakery Boutique that tasted as good as they looked.  Nature’s Florist did her flowers and what a job they did – AWESOME!   Their minister, Jay Thornell is one of the best.    I guess this wouldn’t be complete without mentioning all the nurses that Leigh Anne works with – those girls can DANCE!   Randy & Leigh Anne rode away in a Vintage Rolls Royce from Classic Cars.   To see their wedding photos click here and to see their engagement photos click here

Annette & Derek were married at Kingston Plantation.  This couple was a lot of fun!   As you look through their photos pay special attention to Annette’s shoes – aren’t they pretty!  After their ceremony we went down to the beach for photos of their entire wedding party and a few of just the two of them.  Immediately following that they headed straight for their reception.  They had many out of town guests who took turns passing the DJ’s microphone arounded – they all had so many childhood memories and lots of well wishes.   To see more of Annette & Derek’s wedding photos click here.

Back in January we photographed Chad & Ashlie’s wedding and now we’ve had the opportunity to photograph Ashlie’s family on the beach.   They came all the way from New York!   It’s hard to tell who’s the Mom and who’s the daughter because Mom looks sooo young.   They’re a great family and they let us “experiment” with them.  We had a great time.

Patty & Tony -what a pair!  Patty is one of those people who is lucky enough to have a sister who owns a home right on the beach.   It really is “Paradise Found”.   Even though this couple lives in the area many of their friends and family members traveled from as far away as England to share in their special day.    This was definitely the most colorful wedding I think we’ve ever had the priviledge of photographing – look at the bride’s dress – it looked great on her!   Pastor Dick Webber from Sheppard of the Sea performed the ceremony.  Pedals & Plants made her bouquet as well as all of the other flower arrangements - what a beautiful job.   Their friend Joe made their cake – take a look for yourself and see what a great job he did - it tasted great as well.   KISS DJ & Karaoke played a lot of music that everyone was familiar with  and he kept them and their guests up and dancing to the tunes.   The catering was done by Crystalite Cafe’ and it was FABULOUS!  The food tasted awesome, it was presented beautifully and the servers were so very professional.   You owe it to youself to give them a call for your next big event.   To see more of our wedding photos click here.

Meet Kellie & Scott.   Kellie is just so full of life and it shows through her laughter – they’re an adorable young couple.    They were camping at Myrtle Beach State Park and so it only made sense to take advantage of the beautiful beach and capture photos of them right there.   That time of day comes REALLY early but they were eager to get started and capture the beautiful colors in the sky.   Scott isn’t really a “get your feet in the sand”  kind of guy so we never did get his shoes off BUT we somehow managed to get his boots pretty wet.

We recently met Kevin, Danielle and Hayden at Huntington Beach State Park for their very first family photo session.  We really enjoyed photographing all of them but Hayden is so precious and he will make you laugh.    They have this thing, something about one of them covering their mouth, one their ears and one their eyes.  I guess it’s the monkey thing but I can’t believe they’ve taught little Hayden to do it – we laughed so hard.   I hope ya’ll enjoyed the session as much as we did.   To see more of our work go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com.

KAYLIE & TATUM’S BIG BASH!   This was an awesome birthday party - Kaylie celebrated turning 3 and Tatum 2.  This party had CAKE (S), hotdogs, a waterslide, pools, and presents galore!  There was everything from sidewalk chalk, Disney costumes for dressing up, kitchen play sets, a bicycle, flip flops, play-doh, you name it.  I wish I was a kid again so I could play with some of that stuff.  Thank you to both of the girls for letting us attend the party – we had a great time!  To see more of our work go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com.

Meet Danielle and Tom – they had a destination wedding.  We didn’t have the opportunity to meet them until a few days prior to their wedding, but once we met it was like we’d known them for a long time.  They are a wonderful couple and we’re so glad that they choose Wayne’s View Photography to capture all their special moments.  Danielle was a BEAUTIFUL bride.  She and Tom were married on the beach in Pawleys Island and Judge Buffy officiated their ceremony.  This was our first time meeting Judge Buffy but we were so impressed with her that we’ve already recommended her to a couple of brides that we’re working with.  Danielle’s flowers and the arbor they stood under were done by a local florist.  It was an extremely HOT day to be outdoors but a wonderful day for a wedding.  Afterwards, we were very happy to be inside cooling off before attending an intimate outdoor reception at Quigley’s.  The food that night was wonderful!  They will be hosting a formal reception in their home town near Chicago, Illinois.  To see more of Wayne’s View Photography photos click here

HERE’S JORDYN!    She reminds us of a princess that Walt Disney would have created.  She lives in North Carolina and is well advanced beyond her three years.  She takes direction really well, so well in fact, that her family is considering having us put together a modeling portfolio for her.  After Wayne photographed and put together a portfolio for Lida Fox who took that portfolio to New York and was offered and signed a contract with Ford Modeling Company he’s had more than a few opportunities to photograph models, so having Wayne create her portfolio is the logical choice.  Her Mom, Dad and Nana are dear friends of ours and when Nana would tell us things that Jordyn was “supposedly” saying we thought she was just being a proud Nana.  We recently found out otherwise when Jordyn brought her family to see “Uncle Wayne”.  We had such a great time with her!  After photographing her, we played a little on the beach, ate candy and then went to eat supper at our favorite Mexican restaurant, El Cerro Grande in Garden City.   She had a stomach ache by the time we got our food – guess we gave her too much candy - SORRY.   To see more of our work go to http://www.waynesviewphotography.com/

Hope and Stephen initially found us thru somebody that Stephen worked, with at the time.  We’re so fortunate that they chose us to photograph their wedding.   We meet in Charleston for their engagement session and Hope, bless her heart, was REALLY sick but click here to see their session and you’ll see that she looked great!   Afterwards we all ate at Hyman’s Seafood and enjoyed the evening while getting to know each other a little more – a great place to eat by the way.  Their wedding took place at Pawleys Plantation and I can’t say enough good things about it.  It’s not only beautiful but the food was awesome and the staff was “the best”.  If you need a place for your next event call Wendy and tell her Wayne’s View Photography sent you.  It was  a very hot and humid day but Hope had thought of everything – she made great little fans for her guests – I LOVE IT!  Mr. Bruner from ”Have Gavel Will Travel” performed the ceremony.  He was a great choice and we look forward to working with him again.    Jeff Benton was the DJ and he was WONDERFUL as always!  We were thrilled when we found out they were using him – he always knows how to get the guests on the dance floor.  We haven’t found a cake we didn’t like and Crossiants Bakery certainly didn’t let us down.  The cake was beautiful and tasted really good as well.  Her flowers were nicely done by Lazelles.  Now, several weeks after the wedding, her cake is gone, her flowers have wilted and her guests have returned home – thank goodness she has her memories AND her photographs.  To see more of Hope and Stephen’s wedding photos go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com

Emma ‘s family was on vacation and visiting family that live in the area when we meet them in Pawleys Island for an evening photo session.  The wind was blowing quite strongly but the family didn’t seem to notice much – this was their very first trip to the ocean.  That’s right, until the day of their session, they had never felt the beach sand between their toes or heard the beautiful sound that the waves make as they crash into the shore.  They had never smelled the salt air nor could they image what it felt like to stand in one spot as the waves wash over your feet and then the sand sinks under you as the water goes back out.  It was great seeing them enjoy all the things that so many of us take for granted.  To see more of our work go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com.

They say it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day – what about on your bridal portrait day?  Candice had planned on having her bridal portraits taken along the waterfront in Wilmington, North Carolina.  After her Mom made a trip from Tennessee and she’d spent the morning getting her hair done and make-up done she definitely wanted to have the show go on.  Had we been at home we could have used our studio but when you’re away from home you have to use whatever is available.  We were very fortunate that the Hilton Riverfront let us use their lobby, hallways – whatever we needed to get the perfect portrait.   Since she has former beauty queen experience, former “Ms. Mint Hill” she knew exactly what to do.     Thank You Hilton for accommodating us – the day ended great despite the rain.   Of course, we couldn’t show you her photo until after the wedding.  She and Adam were married yesterday – CONGRATULATIONS!  Can you believe it rained for that too.  Guess she’s gonna be having a lot of good luck coming her way.  To see more of Candice’s bridal portrait proofs click here.  To see more of our work go to WaynesViewPhotography.com

You know – things just have a way of happening.  One day while we were out on the beach photographing a family, another family came up to us and ask if we could photograph them as well.  They had heard about another photographer in town and actually scheduled their session with that photographer.  As it turned out, that photographer, for one reason or another, couldn’t do the session that day and left the family standing there.    The vacation was coming to an end for the ones from the west coast (Utah and California) so this was the last night they could do family portraits.  We were happy to photograph their famil(ies) and the rest is history.  Turns out they are a great family, we love em’ all.   They really liked our work (fortunately).  Several months ago, we had the opportunity to do Todd’s senior portraits and Stephanie even asked us to photograph her wedding.  We were sickened when we found out that she had planned her wedding on a day we were already booked – we were excited about traveling to Virginia.  So sorry we have to miss out.  That family, by the way, is Tracy Burczak from (1-800-PLUMBING).  If you’re looking for a plumber, they’re the ones to call.  Anyway, I said all that to tell you how we met THIS family.  The Burczak’s know this family and showed off our work.  We were happy when Tracy’s friend (Lori) called us to photograph her large family.  This family is awesome!  They’re from the local area and Dad (in the middle) is a minister.   You might recognize them from one of their gospel sings, they are:  The Cribb Family.  They use to travel and sing gospel music together.  They were so great to work with.  If you know any of them, give us a call.   We’d love to hear from you.  To see more of our work go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com.

There’s so MUCH to tell about Theresa and Jim I don’t even know where to start – at the beginning I suppose.   Our friend Amy Miller met Theresa while talking about renting a beach house.  Amy told Theresa about us and after going to our website she emailed us.  I really liked her from the very beginning.  We were very excited to meet her and Jim when they came down, in February, from Ohio for their 6:00 am engagement session on the beach.  However, they obviously brought some of that Ohio air with them because it was soooo cold.  We were wearing a hat, coats, gloves, etc and still freezing.  Theresa and Jim had on their thin, short sleeve shirts and jeans trying to get that perfect photo.  I felt so sorry for them and wondered how they managed to keep smiling – the more I think about it they were probably laughing at how ridiculous we looked.  Afterwards, we went to a local pancake house.  The photos turned out really good and you can see them by clicking here.  They came back in May for Memorial Day and we did more photos of them.  This time it was MUCH warmer and they even got in the water.  To see  those photos, click here.   Like most couples that we work with, we’ve emailed and called them many times but these two have become like our family.  They met at a zoo but that’s another story.  It’s been about 19 months since we started talking to them and their special day had finally arrived.  They were married in North Myrtle Beach and everything was just perfect.  They are a beautiful couple.  Their cake was made to look like a BIG sand castle with two starfish on top.  Cakes By The Sea did a great job on it – you can’t even imagine how delicious it was.  You can never go wrong with a cake from there.   Icey Caterers catered their reception in the beach house “Margarita Villa”.  The food was delicious and Theresa was really happy with her choice.   The following day they went horse back riding.  Our associate photographer Patrick and his wife Allison rode with them and got a few shots of that as well.  To see Theresa and Jim’s wedding photos click here.  If you know someone getting married we’d love to meet them too.

I’ve never really met anybody from Andy Griffith’s town (Mt. To us, photos should be more than just an image on paper.  They should capture the “real” you.  It’s really hard to get to know much about a person, especially a teenager, in just a couple minutes  in a parking.  However, since Aimee’s family would be returning to Pennsylvania the following day that’s all the time we had.   So, we ask her to describe herself in one word.   Her answer – Barbie.  After spending a couple hours with her you’d see that for yourself.   She’s tiny, beautiful, into fashion, likes assessories, likes her hair bouncy, etc.   PLUS, she’s flexible – I mean with her time.   She and her Mom worked their vaction around our schedule.  On our initial meeting  it was hot and humid.  After about 1 1/2 hours we were running out of time and had to prepare for a wedding rehearsal that afternoon so Aimee and her Mom meet us back  at the beach that evening for the remainder of her session.   It was raining by then and just as we were about to cancel it quit.  YEAH!!!  We did get to finish the session and had a great time.  Before we were finished she even ened up laying in the water.   To see more of our seniors go to our website at www.WaynesViewPhotography.com.

We donated a photography session and print package for a fund raiser and that’s how we got to meet these two little cuties.   They were both a real pleasure to photograph.   If Logan did something, little Riley would copy her-with the exception of getting in the water.   Logan let us know right off that she’d much rather be on a 4-wheeler than in that white dress but Riley seemed more little a little baby doll.   Riley smiled for MOST of the session but we told Logan she wasn’t allowed to smile.  You’ll notice in the bottom picture that she listened really well.  We thank their Grandma for bidding on the session which ultimately went to help the American Heart Association.   To see more of our work go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com.

Every couple has a story and one of the neat things about engagement sessions is getting to know their story.  Jason is an Engineer in Georgetown and Michelle is a Physical Therapist in Murrells Inlet.  It’s sorta normal for a couple to be a little quiet and reserved when we first start their session but within just a few minutes they normally open up and by the time we’re done, we’re like old friends.  They too opened up.  We started their session at the same place Jason purposed – how cool is that?!.  Next, they went home, changed clothes and got their baby – a Springer Spaniel, Emi and headed for the beach.  The evening was great, warm but not too hot and not nearly as humid as it could have been.  We are fortunate to have made two new friends and to be photographing their upcoming April wedding.   If you happen to bump into them, be sure to tell them CONGRATULATIONS.  To see more of our work go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com

I don’t think I’ve ever seen two people smile more than Mark & Annie.   They work together in a resort and of course they play together as well.   When we arrived to start taking photos of Annie preparing for the ceremony we were met in the driveway of the beach house by her cousin.  It was raining outside and he was so nice, offering to help carry in cameras or lights or anything else we needed.  Once we got to the door we were met by the Flower Girl and Annie’s Brother – what a great bunch of people.   Her hair was already done and looked like Princess Lia.  I think she was born with a smile because she always has one and today was no different.  She grinned and giggled and couldn’t hide her excitement if she would have wanted to.   Their outdoor beach wedding had to be moved inside, out of the rain and THEN,  the person that was suppose to perform their ceremony didn’t show up.  YIKES!   None of this wiped the smile from their faces.   I’m a Notary and so the ceremony went as planned AND at the last second it quit raining and they quickly moved everything back outside.  The catering was out of this world awesome and done by the wonderful people they work with – an out of town resort.  Their families were great to us and I’ve never seen a MOM more happy watching her daughter be happy.   Guess I know where that smile comes from.  What a beautiful day it turned out to be.   To see more of our work go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com.

A couple months ago I mentioned how we’d gone to North Carolina to photograph Liam and ended up getting a couple letters in the wrong place and  spelled Lima instead.  Shame on us!  BUT he’s only 6 months old and already has a story.  He finally made it to the beach!  He’s a really good natured little boy and didn’t seem to mind at all that it was only 6:30 in the morning.  He was up for anything.  He’s also a lovey little thing – he lets just about anybody hold him and love on him and seems to like you even more if you have a bottle – imagine that!  We’re doing another session with him the first part of December so you’ll be seeing more of him soon.  For now, click here to see more of his photos from this session.

Babies don’t stay babies for very long.  This isn’t a new thought and photographers have spent many, many years capturing those precious moments.   We know from personal experience just how important portraits truly are and just this past month our Niece Heather’s 2 year old little boy was in ICU with a rare diagnosis of GBS.  He was paralyzed and on a ventilator and left all of us praying that he’d come around.  Thankfully, he did.  He went home from the hospital a couple days ago and is now walking on his own.  But this really got us thinking about all the parents that put off having a portrait made of their baby.   We’ve had a couple parents tell us that they want portraits of their baby to send with Christmas cards but want to wait because they know their child will look different by then.   Why wait!  Your child will never again look exactly the same as he or she looks right now – capture the moment and cherish it forever.  We are so serious about this that we are offering the first person who calls us and mentions seeing this on our blog a FREE photo session on the beach of them and their small child.  Session must take place by the end of September.  You can reach us at:  (843) 997-7248.

Last year we photographed Will and his Mom & Dad.  While we were on the beach the weather turned really bad really quick and we ended up cutting the session a little short.  The weather didn’t seem too promising this year either but we decided to give it a try anyway.  As it turned out, the weather was great and we had a wonderful time.  You know, during our first session with a family, we work really hard at making their experience with Wayne’s View Photography one that they couldn’t find anywhere else but when we get to see them the next time, it’s like getting together with friends and we always have lots of fun.   I remember the we first met Lynnell, we greeted each other with a big hug like we had known each other for years and immediately I knew we were gonna have a great time together.  Mickey is the same way and  so it’s easy to see why Will is such an awesome little boy.  He has beautiful, big blue eyes and a huge smile.  PLUS – he is so easy going!  I guess you can tell we really like this family and so it was extremely hard to choose just a couple photos when we made their collage.   I can’t wait to see them again next year and see how much Will has grown.   Too see more of our work go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com.

Have you ever tried to get up and get ready to go somewhere at 4:30 in the morning without waking up the entire family?  That’s exactly what Shannon Moser tried to do.  Her and her two sisters AND their spouses AND kids (below) got up at 4:30 for 6:00 sunrise photos on the beach and tried to sneak out of the house without waking up Mom.  This was supposed to be a surprise – BUSTED!!!  Mom did wake up and then they tried to explain where they were going so early.  One family, all dressed in khaki shorts and white shirts, answered FISHING!   It was sprinkling when we arrived on the beach and thankfully that stopped within a few minutes but the sky remained cloudy.   The beach is so peaceful at that time of the morning.   By the time we were finished, everybody was awake and ready for breakfast.   What a great way to start your day!  To see more of our work go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com.

WaynesView – The Day After

Becky called us a couple months ago and said she and Ernesto would be getting married in Wisconsin but wanted to know if she could wear her wedding dress in some beach photos.  You know we loved that idea!!!  When we arrived at the beach for their session the weather did not want to cooperate .  It looked really scary.  Here we all were, Becky had taken the time to go get her hair done and was looking forward to this session so we didn’t want to call it off but know better than to be on the beach during a lightening storm.  So when we started, we explained that we may all end up running for cover if the weather got worse.  IT DID!  We got under cover and the storm quickly passed and we were able to continue our session.  Not long after that, she decided that she’d only to get to do this once wearing her wedding gown and took the plunge!  She wore her dress right into the ocean.  Ernesto even got into the fun in a couple photos.  I’m so glad we all stayed – it was truly worth it.  We got to know this wonderful couple, got some great photos and even got a dolphin in one of the shots.  To see more of their session click here.

Too often, many of us take our freedom for granted.   Unless it’s Memorial Day or Veteran’s Day many people don’t think about the sacrifice families make to keep us all free – the missed birthdays, anniversaries, babies being born, first steps, Thanksgiving, Christmas – the list could go on and on.  Here at Wayne’s  View Photography we truly salute all the families that give so much every day so we can be free.   Lara’s family is one of those families.  We had the honor of photographing them while they were here on vacation.   They are a great family and we had a really good time while we were with them.  We are not posting a photo of this family because we never know when the military may send them back to another country.  Maybe you know a military family, if so, take the time to thank them for serving our country and keeping us a free nation.  FREEDOM REALLY ISN’T FREE!

Candice & Adam were married at the Crown Reef.  They had originally planned to have their ceremony in the gazebo outside but it was extremely windy at rehearsal with promises of more wind the following day so they decideded to move it indoors.   The Crown Reef was very accomodating and they had a wonderful ceremony that was followed by a reception.  Robert Napier played his Ukulele and Scott Shaw from Scott Shaw Productions sang ”Over the Rainbow” just as the Mothers were seated.  GREAT JOB – BRAVO!!!   The day was perfect!  The bouquets and boutonnieres were beautiful and all made by a family friend.    They had a pretty seashell cake made by Croissant’s Bakery.  Scott Shaw Productions is a great DJ and provided the music and entertainment and the food was catered by the Crown Reef — it was delicious!  We really had a great time and thank all of her family and guests for making our job easy.  We wish them both many, many years of happiness together.  Thank you Candice for choosing us to photograph your special day.  To see more of their wedding photos click here.  To see Candice’s bridal photos click here.

Here are two of the sweetest people you ever want to meet.   Mandy and Josh knew they wanted beach portraits taken while they were here on vacation but didn’t know exactly what to expect.  We always tell people that with us it’s more than just photos – it’s the entire ”experience”.    NOW THEY KNOW TOO - we laughed and had such a great time.   It rained a little but it didn’t put a damper on anybody’s evening.  Fortunately, they were very flexible and took the opportunity change clothes while we stood under a bath house for cover with the cameras.  Within just a few minutes it quit raining and they came out with their Tennessee orange on and we headed back to the beach.   The evening remained nice  and we had most of the beach to our selves.   They were pretty sandy by the time we were finished but we had such a good time.  Mandy is such a happy person and we really enjoyed our evening with them.  Thank you Mandy and Josh for choosing Wayne’s View Photography.   We look forward to seeing you again next year.  To see more of our work click here.

When Polly initally called us for family photos she mentioned that she had six grandchildren that we’d be photographing.   Of course she wanted a few group photos as well as individual family portraits, brothers and sisters, cousins and individual ones of the kids – no different than any other family – right!  Then she said, one grandson is 8 years old, one is 8 months old and four of them are three years old.   Sometimes it’s hard to get a large family together to eat much less for photos so you have to get them when you can.  We had nap times to work around as well as sunset and raindrops but with the help of our additional photographer, Patrick and a little yellow duck, we got everything they wanted and more and had a great time doing  it.   To see more of our work, please go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com.

Doesn’t everybody love babies?!  Well you’ll definitely love Cannon – he’s only 2 weeks old and is such a good baby.  I don’t think we’ve ever seen a new baby that moved so much – he stretched and yoned and cooed and smiled and squirmed – he’s awesome!  He’s so precious and has BIG beautiful eyes that seem to really focus on the flash.  Also, he  has many different facial expressions.  We had such a good time with him that we called his Mom and ask if we could borrow him for a second session.  We dressed him up in a Santa Claus hat, put him in a stocking, proped him up in a chair and tried several different poses/positions with him just to see what they’d look like.  He didn’t mind a bit.    We can’t wait to get many more photos of him as he grows up.  Thanks Jenny for letting us play.  We had a wonderful time!  As you can tell, we don’t think it’s ever too early to start preparing for Christmas.  To see more of our work go to http://www.waynesviewphotography.com/.

Ruta is quite the young lady.   She’s a high school SENIOR and she’s not only beautiful but she’s smart and very mature.   From the first time we talked on the phone I knew we’d really like her.  She arrived with her Mom and numerous changes of clothes including her school dance outfit.  We took A LOT of photos in many different poses.  She chose to have all of her photos taken inside instead of going to several different locations like we usually do.  All of her photos were great and it was extremely hard to narrow down what we’d offer her as proofs but we did it and this is one of her favorites.  To see more of her photos click here.  I believe she said that her boyfriend’s favorite one is number 37.   We’d love to hear which one you like the best.   To see more of our work go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com.   Add us as a friend on Facebook

Jacoby proposed to Tiffany in church and many people have viewed his proposal on YouTube.  When they set the date for their special day they chose to exchange vows in the large gazebo at Crown Reef.  It was a beautiful sunny day.  They  both had a huge smile all day and it was obvious by the looks on their faces that their parents and grandparents were happy as well.  As you can see, she looked stunning in her gown and he was very handsome in his white suit.   Their ceremony included a ring exchange and a sand ceremony.  The miniter poured white sand signifying God in their marriage and then she poured pink as he poured blue sand.  Her Grandmother read a poem that required them to hold hands prior to jumping the broom.  This was our first wedding that the bride and groom included jumping the broom in their ceremony and it was SO COOL.  We hope to be able to share some of those photos with everyone soon.   After a quick walk on the beach they headed over to their reception that was held in the Crown Reef Reception Center.   The room looked really nice and the food was delicious!  Susan was their event planner from Signature Events by Susan and their pretty cake was made by Priceless Desserts.   To see more of our weddings go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com.

We talk about Alex so often and forget that not everybody knows her.  She is after all, only three but she’s grown!  It seems like she knows EVERYBODY!  If she don’t know you, chances are her Mom or Dad do.  Anyway, we’ve had the good fortune of photographing her since she was just a couple months old and we love her to pieces.   We just photographed her and her sister along with the rest of the family.  Isn’t she beautiful?!  She met us at the front door and immediately showed us her painted PINK fingernails and was quick to inform us that her sister had just gotten her toes painted by Mommy.  We took several photos on the shady side of the house before following her to the beach.   We also got some that I’m looking forward to seeing in her high school yearbook one day.   One thing that we love about being photographers is watching families grow and following them thru the precious moments of their lives.    We hope to continue to follow Ms. Alex thru grade school, high school, boyfriends, prom, her wedding and then her kids.  We’d love to get to know you and your family as well.   Email us through our website or call us to schedule your own session.   To see more of our work go to www.WaynesviewPhotography.com.

How perfect is this photo for the song “Going to the Chapel”?.  I love this photograph and as soon as I saw it I thought about that song.  It’s a beautiful little Chapel at Pawley’s Island Christian Church.  The inside is gorgeous and the stain glass is awesome.   I’d love to go back there and photograph another wedding.   On this particular day, Cortney & Greg from Greenville, SC were married.  They had a small, intimate wedding with family and their closest friends as guests.  A pool side reception at Pawleys Island Pier Village followed the ceremony.   They took a few moments to absorb the day before going to the pier for a few portraits.  Two of Cortney’s college roommates gave a toast and then they cut their pretty cake from Incredible Edibles.   To see more of our work go to www.WaynesViewPhotography.com or join us (Wayne Eggleston) on Facebook .

Jessica and Neil are both attending UNC Pembroke and like many of us love the ocean.   On one of their recent trips here, Neil proposed and of course Jessica said YES!  You should see the ring – lots of BLING!!!  They are getting married exactly 1-year from the date we photographed their engagement session.  They are a great couple and we really enjoyed them.  They laughed and smiled and danced in the sand.  She has big brown eyes and a beautiful smile and he has awesome blue eyes and dimples.  It’s so neat to see a young couple in love.  You can almost feel the connection between them and you can definitely see the sparkle in their eyes when they look at each other.  She wore a dress for the photos and so we were hesitant about asking her to get on his back for a “piggy back” ride but as it turned out she really liked the idea and said that’s what they were doing in the first picture they ever had taken together.    To see more of our engagement sessions visit us at www.WaynesViewPhotography.com  while you’re there send us an email to schedule your own session.

We’ve just finished photographing the Sea Watch Resort.  It’s located in Myrtle Beach off of Kings Road.  In this photo you see a large lake on this side of the property.  What you can’t see from this photo is that it’s ocean front.  Just on the other side of the property is a wide beach with lots of beautiful sand to run your toes thru before plunging into the ocean.  If you sit real still and image you can almost hear the waves crashing as they come onto shore.   It’s a beautiful property to take your family to on a vacation or for just a short get away.  It’s also a really nice place for a wedding.  They really do it up right there.  Click here and here to see more photos of this beautiful property and remember to call us for your family portrait or wedding ceremony.

WOW – I can’t believe it’s been sooo long since we’ve posted anything on our blog.   In the last several months we’ve been busy meeting new friends, photographing weddings, high school seniors, babies with cakes, brides, couples, etc.   We’ve taken some time for education by attending several seminars and the Professional Photographers of South Carolina week long convention.  We’ve learned some exciting things about photography as well as new trends and new things our printers are offering.  We found a new printer for all of the cards that we offer and we think you’ll be as happy as we are.  We’ve also had a little fun along the way.   Everyday is a fun day for us because we love meeting new people, seeing old friends and capturing life’s most precious moments but it’s hard to beat the fun we had at Disney World.  Yeah, we took a much needed week vacation and drove to Disney World – we had a blast!  I’ll do my best to keep you updated on our latest happenings but if I should falter, you can always check us out by joining Wayne Eggleston on facebook but don’t forget to check back here because this is where we’ll be telling you what specials we have going on.

Once again, I’m saying WOW!   Where does time go?    I can’t believe it’s been about 6 weeks since we posted anything new to our blog.  A couple months ago, we came up with an AWESOME idea that will help a lot of people and we’ve been really busy working on it, in addition to our photography.  The idea will be revealed on June 1st so you’ll want to be sure to check back to see what we’re doing.  In the meantime, we had the opportunity to meet Carly – a SENIOR at Waccamaw High School.   It was REALLY cold outside during her session so most of the photos were taken at our studio and the others were taken at Market Commons in Myrtle Beach.  She was an extremely good sport and even when all her friends called her over and over trying to make plans for the evening and we were all too cold to move, she hung in there with us – we really enjoyed working with her.   We’ve been told that she looks like Sandra Bullock in a few of the photos – click here to see for yourself.

Koty is a Conway girl – born and raised right here.  I remember when she was just a teenager – so young and sweet.  Now I can’t  believe she’s all grown up and getting married.  Unfortunately, when we found out about their wedding we were already booked and so we won’t  get the opportunity to photograph their BIG day however, we’re thankful that we had the opportunity to spend a couple  hours with them around the Riverwalk area and capture some great moments.   You’ll notice that Jamie isn’t in one of the photos, that’s because Wayne always (laughingly) tells the guy that “it’s all about the girl”.  Thank you Koty and Jamie for the time you spent with us.  We wish you the very best in life.  To see more of Koty and Jamie’s engagements photos click here.

Nikki & Matt were married a couple weeks ago at the beautiful Litchfield Country Club.  It was the perfect size for their approximately 130 guests.  There’s a certain charm about the Country Club that’s hard to find anywhere else – it’s quaint, romantic and screams southern hospitality.  The ceremony took place outdoors with a stunning backdrop – the beautiful golf course.  One thing you may not know about Wayne’s View Photography is that Angie is a Notary Public and in the state of  South Carolina can perform a wedding ceremony.   She officiated this one and the ceremony could not have been more perfect for this couple.  There’s something else that must be said as well – the food is AWESOME!  Mixon Dixon was their DJ and he did a GREAT job!  He had everybody up on the dance floor and having a wonderful time.   The cake came from the Country Club and the guests are still talking about how delicious it was.   We are honored that they chose Wayne’s View Photography as their photographer and we wish them the very best in life.   THANK YOU Matt and Nikki for allowing us to be a part of your special day.   To see more of their wedding photos click here.

Where’s LIAM?  He’s in North Carolina right now but we’ve had the opportunity to photograph him several times in the last year.   He recently turned the big 1.  Not only did we get to play with him but we got to capture him and the fun he had while eating his birthday cake.  We also enjoyed seeing the looks on his parents face.  He started out like most kids do – you know, barely touching it but once he got some of that icing in his mouth that was it!  He was hooked and wanted more.  You should have seen the way that baby ate – you’d think his parents didn’t feed him.  Honestly, I know they do.   I have to admit Piggly Wiggly makes a mean cake – sorry my friends at Cakes By the Sea.  We had the best time.   You know, there’s nothing like tooting your own horn and that’s what I think of every time I see the horn photo – I absolutely LOVE it.   I also especially like the one with all the faces.   You gotta love the ones where he’s wearing the Disney hat!    So if you’re looking to have some fun give us a call.  We’d love to meet you and your family and capture the special moments between you.

Take a look at the second image and it’s easy to see that Theresa loves to laugh and have a good time while Phil is a very laid back kind of guy.  I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much.   There were many romantic moments as well which makes it easy to see the love between them.    We consider ourselves fortunate to have been able to spend several hours with them on a beautiful sunny day, in an awesome location, and we look forward to their special day!  Thank you Theresa and Phil for a wonderful day.  To see more of their engagement photos click here.   You’ll definitely want to check back to see their wedding portraits later this year.

The first portraits we took of Jason and Michelle were in Brookgreen Gardens where he proposed.  Afterwards they decided to have their wedding at Pawleys Plantation.  What a wonderful choice – it’s so beautiful there and all the flowers were blooming.  The Flower Girl and Ring Bearer (2 & 3 year olds) were too cute and they walked straight down the aisle to the Groom (Jason) where he knelt down and handed them each a piece of gum.  The wedding took place outside and Michelle walked down the aisle with her Mom on one arm and her Dad on the other while Rebecca played the harp.  It was a beautiful ceremony and after a lot of photos they retreated inside to the reception.  The cake (my favorite part) was a three tier cake from Cakes By the Sea and it was YUMMY as always.  Jason and Michelle looked wonderful as they danced to the band “TruSol”.  TruSoul was new to us but they were terrific and we’ll definitely be recommending them to future brides.   We are so thankful that we got to be a part of their special day – THANK YOU Jason and Michelle.  We wish you many happy years together.

We met Ruby last year at the Litchfield Dance Arts Academy.  A couple weeks ago we got to photograph her and her brother, Joel and we had a wonderful time.  Kids grow up so quick.  When we saw Ruby  for the first time this school year I couldn’t believe how much she’d grown over the summer.   Initially, she’s shy like a lot of little girls.  She’s also adorable and likes to smile a lot.   Joel is quite and didn’t really have a lot to say but we did find out that he takes karate and he loves his family.   He’s such a good big brother.   These are two wonderful, well mannered children.  Look at the third photo, he’s holding his sister’s hand.  I just LOVE it!  To see more of Ruby and Joel’s beach portraits click here.   I hope we get to see a lot more of them in the future.

We LOVE photographing SENIORS!  If Mom calls about her daughter’s SENIOR portraits we know that the daughter is more than likely looking forward to the session.  On the other hand, if Mom calls about her son’s SENIOR portraits we know that chances are he’s doing it for Mom and not really into it.  SO, it becomes our job to make the session fun.  One of the questions we hear most often is can they bring a friend.  By all means, grab your BFF and plan on having a great time – you’re the star of the show at Wayne’s View Photography.

Adam is a very busy young man.  He’s on Socastee High School’s swim team, attends classes at the Academy for the Arts, Science and Technology, has a job, attends church and is in the Naval Sea Cadets, stationed in Charleston.  Like a lot of guys, he started out doing SENIOR portraits for Mom but if you ask him I’m sure he’ll tell you he had a good time.   We met him for a few photos at Coastal Carolina University where his swim team practices.  You can see that he’s just climbing out of the pool in the first photo – which is one of my favorites.   One of the most important things that we’ve learned about SENIOR photography is that you have to please Mom AND the SENIOR – so off we went to the Conway Riverwalk (Peanut Warehouse) area to get some photos of him and his car – sunglasses and all!   From there we went to Atalaya at Huntington Beach State Park for some photos in his Sea Cadet uniform.  I was amazed at the people who saw him and thanked him for his service.   I was happy for him – more people should take the time to thank a service member.   We also managed to get a few shots of him walking on the beach in his uniform before he changed into his “street clothes”.   We had a wonderful time with Adam and we ended the session at the live oak in Litchfield.   G I R L S – he’s a good catch!!!

Thank you Adam for spending your afternoon with us.  We wish you the very best in life.

WOW – some of you have waited for months to find out what the BIG surprise is all about!  This past Tuesday was the  unveiling – thank you for joining in on the excitement with us.

We’ve started a nonprofit organization called “Operation Happily Ever After” which will provide a Myrtle Beach dream wedding for a lucky military couple and at the same time raise awareness and funds to support the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a non-profit organization which assists military members and their families.  We’ve teamed up with local Myrtle Beach wedding vendors and others who are donating their time, talent and resources – Always & Forever Wedding, Biddle Law Firm, Bliss Portraiture, Cakes By The Sea, Charleston Gateway Magazine, Crescent Bank, Fancy Pixel Studios, Grand Strand Bride, Hutchinson Studios, JOE Productions, Lazelle’s Flower Shop, Lindsey Mills Photography, Sasee Magazine, Scott Shaw Productions, Sea Watch Resort, Strand Magazine and Wayne’s View Photography – and that’s just a start – there will definitely be more to come.  The wedding includes the ceremony, a reception with all the trimmings, luxury beachfront resort accommodations for the wedding party, photographers, a videographer, a “live” artist that will paint a portrait of the couple, a three-night honeymoon stay and several other special surprises.

The Operation Happily Ever After logo aptly symbolizes each of these: a military dog tag on a metal chain intertwined with a pair of wedding rings, one bearing the discreet engraved initials of our beloved son Chris who we miss very much.

Visit the website www.OperationHappilyEverAfter.ORG to find out more.  Check us out and facebook too – Operation Happily Ever After.

It’s that time of year again!  This past school year’s SENIORs are now ready to spread their wings – test the waters so to say – they’re college bound!!  NOW, there’s a whole new group to rule the school.  Gosh, I have great high school memories.  Maybe that’s one reason I love SENIOR photography – it takes me back in my mind.  One thing I know for sure, is that my parents are a lot smarter now than they were then (ha ha).  Anyway, we’re just getting ready to start with our SENIOR photography mail outs.  Any SENIOR that calls before July 1st and schedules their SENIOR portrait session with Wayne’s View Photography will get receive a FREE gift.    All you have to do is mention that you saw this on our blog.  Don’t miss out – the schedule is filling up fast.   We can be reached at (843) 997-7248.  Click here to see some of our SENIOR photography.  We look forward to seeing you too.

There’s a lot you can learn about a person in just a couple/few hours.  For instance, this is Blake and he’s the guy every Mom wants her daughter to go out with.  He’s  just graduated from Lowcountry Preparatory School and is on his way to UNC Wilmington.  He’s smart, handsome, polite, great mannered, easy to get along with, surfs, likes to have fun, attends church, and is your all around GREAT guy.    For all you girls who are wondering – he does not currently have a girlfriend.   We really enjoyed the time we spent with him and wish him lots of future success.     CONGRATULATIONS Blake!

I suppose everybody has an embarrassing moment from time to time – this day was that time for me.  We were running a couple minutes behind and went running out the door with everything we needed for this family portrait session at Huntington Beach State Park.   The tripod and reflector was already in the car from the previous session and now Wayne had already headed out the door with his cameras and flashes and was waiting on me.   I’m always the last one out the door and after telling our Yorkie, Cooper, that I love him and I’ll be back soon I grab my cell phone, the bag with the candy and little puppet for the kids and something for us to drink when we’re done with the session.  The shoes that I always wear to the beach are kept at the bottom of the stairs and often times I’ll just grab them on my way out the door and put them on as Wayne drives down the road.   This day obviously was an exception – I forgot to pick up the shoes (I guess)!   So we get to the park and climb out of the car ready to meet the Bortz family for the first time EVER and now I can’t find my shoes.   I also have a pair of flip flops I keep in the car just in case we’re out driving around and decide at the last minute to go to the beach.   We couldn’t find the flip flops!  I couldn’t believe it – now I’m meeting this family for the first time and I DON’T HAVE SHOES – I was so embarrassed!  We finally introduce ourselves to this great looking family and I apologize for not having shoes.    This entire session, I kept wondering what happened to my shoes, how could I have forgotten them – at least I’d polished my toenails a couple days before hand.   Anyway, the family was awesome – good attitudes, great looks, fun to joke with, everything.   We finish approximately an hour later and drive home.   Can you believe what Wayne found when we took his camera bag out of the back seat – MY SHOES!!!  Needless to say, I now put my shoes on BEFORE walking out the door.  We had a wonderful time with the Bortz family and look forward to seeing them again in the future.

Don’t you just want to grab this little girl and hug her?  The moment we met Carol Barr from SandBarr Realty she started telling us about her granddaughter, Marly Grace.  Like most Grandmother’s, she couldn’t say enough good things about this little bundle of joy.  As soon as we met her at our studio we fell in love.   For the next hour, we played with her while capturing some of the sweetest expressions ever.   This session was about her turning 1 and a few minutes after this photo was taken, we sat her birthday cake and some strawberries in front of her.   She’s a delicate little girl and it took some coaxing but she finally got her hands all in the cake and then fed some to Mom, Dad and Grandma before getting it all over herself.    Call us at (843) 997-7248 to schedule your child’s 1 year old birthday photos today – you’ll be so glad you did.

Meeting new people from all over the world is one of the things we like best about photography. We get to meet people with different backgrounds and in different stages of their life.   Some are young couples just starting out, some have new babies and some have children going off to college or getting married.   Kids don’t stay kids forever.   So what’s the next important event happening in your life?   Nothing special – make something happen and when you do call Wayne’s View Photography.  We’re more than just a photographer, we’re an EXPERIENCE!  Thank you Becky for letting us capture some vacation memories for you and your family.  We had a great time and look forward to seeing you all again.

I feel like we’ve known Kevin and Michelle their entire life – truth is, we only met them several months ago.   They were given our name by Michelle’s friend and after meeting them for the first time we began searching for THE perfect place for their engagement portraits.  We ended up going to what seemed like the end of the earth and ended up at an old church down a L O N G, bumpy, dirt road near McClellanville, SC. It was SO hot that day – I remember feeling sorry for Kevin because he had worn jeans.   Forget air conditioning – there wasn’t even a breeze!    Eventually it clouded up and threatened to storm like it does so often in the summertime.   We were relieved to get into our air conditioned cars and headed to Broadway at the Beach.  The day was great and Kevin was finished in time for his go cart racing.    We saw each other at a bridal show at Dillard’s in the Coastal Grand Mall and then later when they brought by photos they had taken on a cruise.  She looked stunning in her wedding dress from The Little White Dress.  She tried two different times to get her bridal portraits taken but her work schedule and the weather never cooperated.   They were married at the Conway Riverwalk on a beautiful sunny day.   Once again, it was HOT and there was no breeze but the day was AWESOME!  Granny’s Florist in Conway made her beautiful bouquet.  Their first dance, father daughter dance, mother son dance, cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss took place at their reception in the Fireman’s Club House.   Her cake was made by the same friend who referred us to her – what a great gift.  She decided to do a Day After photo session since she never got around to her bridal portraits.  The next time we see them they once again be in their wedding attire ready to have some fun and we’ll be capturing some great portraits that will be different from anything you’ve ever seen.  Call us to schedule your special day or a day after session.

Amanda and Joseph were married on a beautiful summer day.   There ceremony took place at Myrtle Beach State Park just a few feet from where the water rushes up to the sand.    Dave Munn from A Southern Belle Wedding officiated the service that included a sand ceremony of bright pink and blue sand.   The bride was escorted by her Father and looked radiant in her long beautiful gown.  She carried a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from North Myrtle Beach Florist.   All of the guests were invited to attend the reception that took place in the park.   The reception included a cake cutting ceremony with a cake from Croissants.  The following day, we captured a lot of precious memories of the bride as she walked and splashed in the water at Huntington Beach State Park, with her beautiful gown.  Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day.   We wish you many years of happiness together.

When Tyler’s family made their plans to come to the beach, she and her Mom got busy looking for the perfect SENIOR photographer.  She wanted something that would be different from all the kids back home.  We love our jobs and are especially excited to photograph high school SENIORS – what an awesome time in their lives!   You won’t find her on facebook – she’s WAY too busy with all the extra curricular activities she’s involved in.  She was so easy to work with and Wayne loved that she was willing to do whatever we suggested!  Her Mom and Dad came along to assist with all her accessories and everyone had a great time.  After going to several different locations she ended her 3 hour session in the ocean.   We wish her tons of happy memories and success in the coming years.   If you haven’t had your SENIOR portraits taken, don’t like what you have or just want to have an AWESOME experience where you’re the star call us today and schedule your session.
